Grr.. Yes, this is a “Yet Another Christmas Rant”..
I was trying to buy some softdrinks and newspapers in the Mini Stop when the cashier surprised me by saying that they no longer had change for my bill. Well, this is the _most lamest_ excuse I had ever heard from a 24-hour store in a place where Starbucks is only a few steps away. Actually she (the manager?) even showed me her piles of bills and I really couldn’t understand why they didn’t even try swapping bills with other shops in the building. Obviously, I had gone buying some drinks first at the latter store and had told the cashier in the Mini Stop to pack the things I had picked so that when I return, I will only pay for the stuffs and had the package ready for take-off as well. But the craziest thing that happened after purchasing stuffs from Starbucks and going back to Mini Stop was that they had returned all of the stuffs I had picked to its previous locations! Waah!
Again, this is a christmas rant. Hopefully, everything will change in the coming New Year.

Whew! I finally got home after presenting a song number in the last of my chain of parties. It was the third I have had in a week. There were bands (Chiaroscuro, etc), games, raffle contests, and obviously – food! Well, that will be the last party I would have this month (or year) since I am only starting the main event of my christmas vacation: MP! You may interpret this as “Maligayang Pasko” or “Malaking Problema” or “Machine Problem”. Hopefully, I will get the tasks done before the end of the year. As for the pics, I forgot to bring my mobile phone cam add-on (sigh) but good thing I have my friend’s phonecam available. So.. laters!

Wee! At last, photos from the gimmick my org had 2 days ago have been uploaded already! The gallery is at Phillip’s flickr site. Some pictures:

Well, actually I had some shots too, but unfortunately I had some problems due to file format incompatibility(weird). But still, this event’s a very memorable one! If I remember it right, this is also the first one I had from my collegiate orgs! Wee!

Finally, I have uploaded my picture gallery both in my PHOTOS.PH and DotPhoto account. It was very fantastic to discover the new features of DotPhoto such as autofix tools, dragNdrop management of galleries, and a lot more! Well, the features might not be really new at all but it was already a year since I last opened my account there to post last year’s collection.
As expected, the event this year is a lot different from last year’s. Well, due to some misinformation, my strategy somewhat failed with regards to my plans on the location and time of taking the shots. Height does really matter to photographers. I should have taken my tripod with me to have a better view of everything but I didn’t because I was also thinking of the hassle of carrying the device if it rains during the event. At least, I had learned a lot of things again in competitive photography in it.
Right now, I’m still wondering why there was no live webcast of this _big event_. What do you think?

I am now officially declaring that this is the start of my christmas vacation despite the fact of having a lot of projects to submit on the day right after the New Year’s celebration – very nice. On the bright side, I was really glad about yesterday’s happening not because of the UPD Lantern Parade but due to some thing else. I was tired even before the said event had started which made some of my shots somewhat blurry. Actually, it is weird to see the shots in my computer more blurry compared to seeing the pictures on the LCD of my Kodak DC 290 camera. On the bright side, I had captured all of the floats of Fine Arts even though I had a hard time of capturing due to competition with other photographers as well. Yes, a photographer’s size or height does matters. From what I can remember, the difference of my shots this year to the last 2 years is that this time, I had captured the fireworks display.
Right now, I’m still thinking of what photo sharing service I will use to upload my pics. Maybe in a few hours, I will post here the link to my gallery. Feel free to post your comments and suggestions there!

Well, I'm not that really addicted to blog, but I just find the scenario or situation in this comic strip very familiar. What do you think?
Why? Make a guess! Do you want a clue?

Well, some of you might think that this might be related to “Through the Looking Glass” in the story “Alice in Wonderland”, but it isn’t. To begin with, this is just a new technological feature that shall change the perspectives of end-users like me. As the title Project Looking Glass 3D implies, it is a technology presented by Sun that will change how a user views a Desktop via 3D mode. I had tried this after writing its liveCD version (somewhat in the form of Slax) and had executed it in a PC having around 1GB of RAM. It’s really quite a development to see such features running in a moderate speed even though they’re running in a JVM. I just hope that it can run on low PC specs in the future.
This panoramic view is cool! But this one reminded me of my CS 32 Machine Problem, argh.

Lately, I have been reading and peeking at some blogs and found Meebo from Ardz’s blog. It is an instant messenger client just like Gaim that works in a browser provided it has its JavaScript enabled. This as a new discovery is great for my coming Ajax report (next year, haha)!
