"If you're an X-Men fan, you'll regret it if you don't! At the theater this weekend, when the credits roll, when the audiences begins to filter out of the exits… keep your seat. And then, perhaps, share this little secret with a few of your friends: the movie isn't over."
Finally, I was able to watch it with a friend in one of the popular cinemas out there. Having a friend's blogpost in mind, we stayed in our seats too for this same thing. The post-credits scene was somewhat short and the sound was sort of blurred too. To sum it all, it was fun, fabulous and fantastic!
So will there be another X-men movie, probably X4?
Today, while I was cleaning the bookmarks (including the unvisited sites) I have archived during the summer season, I stumbled upon the article, Imagining a day without Microsoft.
Well, my reaction towards it is: "Hell, no.. If Microsoft didn't exist, we wouldn't need to invent it. Besides, free and open source already existed even before Microsoft products did."
I got this from a thread of some forum where the thread title is Folder named "con" cannot be created on Windows OS. Here are the explanations for that issue:
Thanks to a Dilnet friend for the links list, I was able to install XGL on Ubuntu Dapper Drake as well. Here's a screenie:
Coolness! Now, you can view 2 workspaces simultaneously (or videos?)! I just don't know yet if it's a hardware problem/deficiency because it's having a hard time playing videos when XGL is enabled.
Wanna try? I just followed the steps in the KrazyPenguin guide. It's damn easy but don't forget to execute the step of backing up of config files for obvious reasons.
If in case you encounter the Shift + Backspace bug, you can just place this statement in your session manager:
Just finished watching the Elephant's Dream film – a good instance of an open source success story. Now, I'm reminiscing the sleepless nights when I used to play Diablo 2. Well, here's a snapshot from its video credits containing the list of open source softwares involved in its production:
Woot! I can now declare that summer's finally over! (after a lot of C's)
Chaos – Yes.. And it really felt like hell, everywhere!
Cramming – started writing some introductory paragraphs and then translated everything into Filipino about 17 hours before the deadline; I had finished it at around 8am, 9 hours before the deadly deadline. This happened last Friday, haha.
Council/CSnetwork meetings – started planning for the coming sems
CRS – I think I've been a victim by some sort of bug.. The PE subject I had successfully enlisted before was gone after the results of the 2nd round. Oh well, I think I will have to manually enlist it.. or prerog? Argh.
caterpillar – haha, this one's yucky! (I should've brought my camera with me!) My friend and I had encountered one yesterday crawling in some hyper speed on one of the benches on the Sunken Garden grounds. And this was after finishing the last session of my PHP MySQL short course.
Count off to infinity – I wonder how many light years (c's) it will take for the Collegian and some center I know near it to release the stuffs I have been expecting for months already.. Is it because those offices are government-funded that it's somewhat slow in processing stuffs? Anyway, here's a copy of the page where my some of my UP Lantern Parade 2005 shots were published (take note of its date!):
After skimming some threads in a forum, I've encountered a Windows problem topic where the solution points to here. After you read it, maybe you'll agree with me too that it's hell one of the very annoying things in using such a system. Good thing I had switched already!
Well, I could still remember the time when I was still working in a helpdesk service at my university.
