Yeah, the first time I heard this song was the time when the centennial rock band featured it on Unang Hirit’s Mobile Tambayan when the morning show was deployed near the UP Theater. Here’s the lyrics of the song:

…which I was figuring out while the song’s being played for several times as the background music of the UP Centennial Kick-Off motorcade earlier. By the time I got home, I was able to get a copy of the UP Ang Galing Mo music through a download from eloi and even its chords! Coolness!

The composer is my fraternity brother, Herbie Rosales, Tau Alpha ‘61 of the U.P. College of Engineering. Another trivia, the person who made the Centennial Cauldron of which the Centennial Flame was lighted by President Roman, is another brod Joel Ajero, Tau Alpha’66.
